"La Direzione Generale per le Biblioteche, gli Istituti Culturali e il Diritto d'Autore promuove il progetto relativo alla "Valorizzazione degli itinerari storici, culturali e religiosi" e la realizzazione di un portale istituzionale che sarà una porta d'accesso unificata ai contenuti di interesse culturale e turistico relativi a tali percorsi, a partire dalla Via Francigena.

"South African History Online (SAHO) is a non-partisan people's history project. It was established in June 2000 as a non-profit Section 21 organisation, aiming to address the biased way in which the history and cultural heritage of South Africans was represented in our educational and cultural institutions.
SAHO's mission is to break the silence of our past and to create the most comprehensive online encyclopedia of South African history and culture. SAHO has committed itself to involve heritage and academic institutions as well as ordinary South Africans in rewriting our history and in that way contributing to reconciliation, the building of a common humanity and a non-racial, non sexist and democratic society.

NCSE: Nineteenth-Century Serials Edition
The Nineteenth-Century Serials Edition (ncse) is a free, online scholarly edition of six nineteenth-century periodicals and newspapers. It is a collaboration between Birkbeck, University of London, King’s College London (Centre for Computing in the Humanities and the Department of English), the British Library, and Olive Software. It was funded from January 2005 to December 2007 by the Arts and Humanities Research Council."

"The edition is formed of two integrated components: the 'Facsimile' component - a repository of full-page facsimiles and textual transcripts generated through OCR; and the 'Keyword' component - an index of semantic keywords and person, place and institution names, generated using data mining and natural language processing techniques. Both components of the system are fully searchable and include rich, bibliographic metadata attached to titles, volumes, issues, departments and articles within the edition.
ncse includes full runs of the first five titles, and a decade only of the Publishers’ Circular. Titles are represented as completely as possible, including multiple editions, advertisements, wrappers, and supplements where we could find them.

"This Transcription Assistant is a creating a tool to assist transcribers in creating transcriptions, and incorporate meta-data about each image and transcription that can then be used to search through an electronic library of transcriptions. By doing so, we hope to encourage even casual users into creating works that can easily be distributed, thus helping those who are in need of a transcription but may not have the necessary skills to create it themselves."
